We Invite You to the 10th Annual CMCA 2022 Correctional Ministries Summit!
New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary
May 27-28, 2022
We regret to inform you that the trip to the Louisiana State Penitentiary has been cancelled. The tour is replaced with a French Quarter tour for all those registered for the Angola trip. Please arrive at 8:30am Thursday to the Luther Student Center. Buses will leave promptly at 9:00am.  Learn More Here>>
For those needing assistance for breakfast, CMCA will provide a shuttle from 7-8am Thursday morning from campus housing to McDonald’s & Walmart. Other breakfast areas are within walking distance of campus (Pontillys). For Thursday dinner, CMCA will provide a shuttle from 5-7pm to restaurants near the campus.
Travel InformationÂ
Rental Cars: The rental car facility is a 15 minute shuttle ride from the airport.
Taxi/Uber: It is suggested to take a taxi from the airport to New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. Cost is approximately $45 each way and located just outside the terminal. Uber is not recommended.
On Campus Lodging: If you are staying at Providence House or the Nelson-Price dorms you will check in at Providence House (4104 Chef Menteur Hwy, New Orleans, LA 70126). You may check in after 3pm–front desk open 24 hours. Map to Check In Location >>
Safety: Please note it is not recommended to travel alone at night in the area around the New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary.

Registration/Check-In Information
Each Attendee MUST have a name badge in order to eat in the cafeteria.
Summit Registration includes 5 meals. Breakfast on Friday is served 7-8:30am. Please pick up your nametag before 8:00am on Friday if you wish to eat breakfast in the cafeteria.
STOP AT THE REGISTRATION TABLE FIRST TO PICK UP YOUR NAMETAG & MATERIALS BEFORE HEADING TO THE QUAD. All plenary sessions, workshop sessions and cafeteria are located in the Quad area of campus. Pick up the Following at Registration:
- Name Badge (needed for meals)
- Summit Bag (includes Program book, water bottle, pen, etc.)
- T-Shirt (If pre-registered by 4/15)Â
- CEU Application (must attend all workshop and large group sessions to receive 1 CEU provided by the Marsh Center for Chaplain Studies). CEU Applications will be collected at the end of the Closing Plenary Session.

- Friday May 27 4:15-5:15 pm
- Saturday May 28 8 am – 12 pm (pick up free Tyndale book)
CMCA Shuttle Â
The Providence Guest House, Nelson Price Dormitory, Quad and Luther (Hardin) Student Center are all within walking distance on campus.
CMCA will provide a shuttle for those individuals needing extra assistance:
Friday & Saturday mornings at 7-8:30am Shuttle will run a loop from campus housing areas to Luther (Hardin) Student Center to Quad (Leavell Chapel, Cafeteria, Bunyan).
At break times (between plenary and workshop sessions) Shuttle will run from Quad to Luther (Hardin) Student Center.
Friday evening Shuttle will run from Quad to Luther (Hardin) Student Center for dessert gathering then to campus housing.
CMCA is offering 1 free Continuing Education Unit for Summit attendees!
The CEU is offered through the Marsh Center for Chaplain Studies, a Center of the B.H. Carroll Theological Institute.
To receive the CEU: Download or pick up a CEU form at CMCA Summit registration table. Attend all 4 large group sessions and all 4 workshop sessions. Completed forms will be collected at the end of the Closing Plenary Session.
Tour of the Louisiana State Penitentiary in Angola, Thursday May 26:Â CANCELLED
Please note:Â The Angola tour is cancelled & replaced by a tour of the French Quarter. Â If you are registered for the tour, be at the Luther (Hardin) Student Center by 8:30 am to check-in and board the buses for the French Quarter Tour.
The French Quarter tour will depart New Orleans Baptist Seminary at 9:00 am PROMPTLY Thursday May 26 and return at 2:30pm Thursday afternoon. If you aren’t on the bus by 9:00am we will assume you are not going on the French Quarter tour. You are on your own for meals on Thursday May 26.
Workshop Sessions
The CMCA Summit offers over 30 workshops to choose from in 4 workshop sessions. The workshops are carefully designed to provide information and best practices in the area of: chaplaincy, jail/prison ministry, reentry, victims/families, youth, advocacy. See Updated Workshop Schedule Below with Room Numbers.
Plenary Sessions
The CMCA 2022 Summit offers 3 plenary sessions. Join us for the opening plenary session Friday May 27th at 9:30 am Central Time.
Our keynote speakers will encourage and motivate you for ministry. Worship, special music, and testimonies will inspire you!
New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary

Your Summit name badge gives you access to 5 Meals at the campus cafeteria on Friday and Saturday. Check in at registration early & receive your name badge if you are eating breakfast in the cafeteria (closes at 8:30).
